Considering how out of shape I became, I am surprised I even last 10 minutes… which I didn’t – I lasted 8. I was hoping to do 1 min walk/1 min run * 9, but ended up doing 3 min walk/1 min run * 2 instead. Which is not even close, but it’s a start, no? And if I combine the distance ‘travelled’ on the cross trainer with distance ‘travelled’ on the treadmill, I managed to ‘travel’ 2km. Which t’ain’t too bad. (Ok, it’s not too good neither, but oh well)
I did remember to stretch afterwards, though.
Keep on doing it and it WILL become easier and you WILL go further with MORE ease and LESS pain!! Should be doing this around 3 times a week though if you want to maximise the results…
Thanks Darrell – I will do, I need to prioritise my fitness plans if I’m going to be taking this seriously.
“Prioritise my fitness plans”
Aah, I dream of doing that. In the real world, however, …
Yeah… really it’s just a case of “I should go running tonight instead of Taekwon-Do or pizza”
It’s about changing the excuses; why shouldn’t you let yourself get fit, treat your health, general well being, self esteem and possibly even extend your lifespan?
Why should you let trivial things get in the way of all that? What’s more important than good health? Why can’t you do Tae Kwon Do, running, cycling AND the gym?? We work, on average, an 8 hr day and sleep on average for 8 hrs, so there’s another 8 going spare each day for social, tv, eating, AND fitness and then there’s the weekends…
treadmills are a nasty vile habit Mark – quicker you kick the habit the better…
